Learn more

The Irish Forum for Global Education (IFGE) is an independent network of Irish civil society actors, development NGOs, education agencies, teacher unions, academics and individuals concerned with global education issues, in particular education in development and emergency and advancing the Education 2030 Agenda and SDG4 goals.

We work nationally, regionally and globally to promote these goals and to provide information and advocacy on the progress and challenges to achieving them. The Forum is the Irish national affiliate to the Global Campaign for Education.

IFGE Believes that education is a fundamental human right and is the basis for progress in every society.

Education has been central to the development of Irish society and is generally regarded as a high priority by government and citizens. It is the catalyst for the achievement of all the Sustainable Development Goals.
